Money can’t buy happiness. But in the right hands, it can do a lot of good.
That’s why every year we donate close to $1.5 in direct contributions and in-kind services to hundreds of local and national organizations that support environment, education, and humanitarian services.
Among the groups we support, we are especially proud of our partnership with United College Negro Fund (UNCF). The UNCF Corporate Scholars Program provides selected candidates a 10-week paid internship at one of United Water’s for-profit facilities along with a scholarship funded by the United Water Foundation.
Every year we have bright young students participate in United Water programs where grow professionally by applying their expertise, learning new skills, and sharing what they know with their colleagues.
This is what our previous scholarship recipients have to say about their experience at United Water.
” Training programs have enhanced my leadership and communication skills, and taught me how to motivate my staff. In turn, this has helped them further their careers and provide better customer service.”
— Marilyn Mayfield, Pine Bluff, AR
“United Water has a large commitment to training. I see it every day. There are always classes, training or safety sessions being offered. United Water is committed to helping its employees grow.”
— Dave Gaipo, Westerly, RI
